The Didier Deschamps coached side were World Cup finalists in 2018 and 2022,winning on the former occasion. They also played the Euro 2016 final against Portugal and lost. In Euro 2020,France bowed out of the tournament in last 16 at the hands of Switzerland.

Kylian Mbappe (Forward,France,Euro 2024)
The electric French Superstar Kylian Mbappe is the best player in the world right now.His pace,dribbling skills and finishing ability mesmerize the football fans all over the planet. He has shone at the biggest stage for his club and country. All eyes will be on him when he walks out for France in Euro 2024.
Mbapper became the most expensive teenager in football history when he joined Paris Saint Germain (PSG) from Monaco for earth-shattering 180 million euros.In his seven years in the French Capital,Mbappe has won 5 Ligue 1 titles and many other domestic titles.He is also club’s all time top scorer. Unfortunately he hasn’t been able to deliver the elusive first UEFA Champions League trophy for Qatar state-owned club. His contract will expire in the next month and he will most likely join the Spanish giants Real Madrid.
In his last season at PSG Mbappe looked disinterested for most of the campaign amid his transfer rumours and still scored 44 Goals and Assisted 10 more in 48 games for the club.
For France,Mbappe has always been at his brilliant best.Playing in his first World Cup in 2018 at the age of just 18,he played starring role in his team’s triumph. He was duly named the young player of the tournament.Mbappe was also at his brilliant best in 2022 FiFA World Cup where he scored a wonderful hat-trick in the final against Lionel Messi lead Argentina. Though France ended up on the losing side, Mbappe became only the second player in history to score in two world cup finals. In 77 appearances for France,he has scored 46 times and assisted further 31.
The only blot on France Captain’s extraordinary career is his inability to score a single goal at the Euro 2020. He will surely be looking to wash that stain this time around. He has the confidence and charisma to perform at the grandest stage of the European game.France will pin their hopes on Mbappe to win their first European title in 24 years.
Antoine Griezmann (Forward)
The Atletico Madrid gem is probably playing best football of his career at the moment.He was absolutely brilliant for Atletico this season.In 48 matches for the club in all competitions,Griezmann scored 24 goals and provided 8 Assists. His overall play was a joy to watch.
At the age of 33,Griezmann is arguably the second most important player for France,only behind a certain Kylian Mbappe. Griezmann has been integral to Les Bleus success in recent years.He was instrumental in France’s run to the Euro 2016 final.Griezmann was awarded the man of the match for his brilliant performance in 2018 World Cup final which his side won 4-2 against Croatia.
Didier Deschamps has given him the free role to roam all across the frontline.He picks up the small pockets of space and delivers pinpoint through-balls for the likes of Kylian Mbappe,Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembele.
Griezmann set piece delivery is also big asset for France. He is also a willing runner and helps his defense in every possible way. He is fourth in all time top scorers list for his country with 44 goals.
N’Golo Kante (DM,France,Euro 2024)
A few years ago,Kante was widely known as the best defensive midfielder in the world. In the last couple of years persistent Injuries ruined his top level career.Kante was at the heart of Leicester City’s miraculous Premier League title win in 2016. He was also the integral part of Les Bleus squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Kante is the unsung hero for many of his fellow midfielders because his work rate freed them from defensive duties and as a result they shone offensively.
Kante had such a work ethic that his presence on the pitch meant that his team is playing with 12 men.He always run the most distance in a game and he broke the play effectively with his clean tackling.
Now plying his trade in Saudi Pro League with Al Ittihad,there are doubts whether he is still good enough to cut it at the highest level. Didier Deschamps have shown faith in his abilities by selecting him for Euro 2024. If Kante is fully healthy France will have the extra edge over their rivals.Because Kante has the ability to thwart even the best attackers in the game with his sharp tackles and interceptions.
