Introduction to America
By the time the World War II had ended in 1945 after America attacked Japan with Atomic bombs,Europe was in total disarray. Both sides, victors and losers, had witnessed the complete destruction of their countries. most of the Europe was needed to be built from the scratch. United States emerged unscathed from the war because of the remoteness of its territory from the war zone.
The attack on the Pearl Harbor was the only serious incident that could be counted as a real dent to American sovereignty. In the aftermath of the war,America emerged as a genuine global power. Only Soviet Union could rival the US for global hegemony.
With the fall of Berlin wall,United States became the undisputed super power of the world. Until very recently, most of the world danced to its tunes. Today the situation is quite different.China has emerged as a bonafide contender as the next global super power.

Here we will discuss the 5 reasons why America is losing its global influence.
War Mongering of America
The biggest criticism that could be leveled against US is its unquenchable thirst for war. It has always relied on its weaponry to solve even the meager disputes. No country in the history has wasted more resources on avoidable wars than the United States of America.
During the cold war,US invasion of Vietnam and the ultimate defeat proved inadequate to dissuade it from its ill-advised brutalities in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the 21st century. Trillions of dollars were expended on these misadventures. As a result, the American economy is in shambolic state and its global influence is shrinking sharply.
These wars have disillusioned American public to the extent that they want to completely disassociate themselves from the world outside their borders. That is the main reason why they selected Donald Trump because of his “America First” policy.
The Dollar hegemony of America dwindling
One of the main reasons behind the economic dominance of the U.S is the insurmountable position its currency holds in global trade. Until very recently,Dollar was the prime mover of the markets in the most countries around the world. Every country kept its foreign reserves in the shape of Dollar bill.
In the last few years the tide has turned. Emerging powers China and Russia are persuading their global partners to trade in local currencies rather than Dollar. The BRICS block is also working on the alternative currency. These developments are ominous signs for America. Its power was hugely reliant on the Dollar’s monopoly in global trade. Potential reduction in Dollar demand will severely effect the American influence.
Chinese Yen is emerging as a upcoming global currency. The Asian giant is negotiating most of its new oil and gas import contracts in Yen. Many experts believe that soon Chinese Yen will dethrone Dollar and become the most sought after currency in the world.
The Rise of China might be the fall of America
Ever since the fall of the Berlin wall, America has been enjoying the status of the sole super power. No country in the world has been able to compete with it in the fields of science and technology, finance and weaponry. The country is the envy of the globe for a long time now.
But the rapid rise of People’s Republic of China as a potential future super power is unsettling the west especially America. China’s economic miracle has set an example for other struggling nations that nothing is impossible if you have set your priorities right. Today China is the second biggest economy in the world and will soon surpass America to become number one.Militarily too China is steadily gaining the ground on U.S.A.
There is a stark difference in the ways both powers try to solve the conflicts. America mostly uses the force,on the other hand,China chooses the peaceful and mutually beneficial ways. Through its Belt and Road initiative ,China is connecting the world by roads and sea routes, which will be economically advantageous for all the stake holders.
China,s role in rapprochement between eternal enemies,Saudi Arabia and Iran, has increased its respect and prestige in the global community. Naturally, the ascendancy of China is not a good news for Americans power centers and they are doing everything possible to stem its progress by all means. Because the Asian giant is in pole position to dethrone U.S and become the next super power.
Donald Trump elected the President of America
If there were still doubts concerning the dwindling power of the United States, most of those were put to bed when American Public elected a clown named Donald J. Trump as their new President. Trump may prove to be the last nail in the coffin of American global supremacy. He is a white supremacist and hates every person of color residing in his country.
Trump’s slogan “make America great again” created quite a buzz and American public fell prey to his demagogy. His four year tenure in the White House was a disastrous period for American prestige and dignity. Trump broke the Paris Climate Accords. He even denied the existence of the Climate catastrophe. He also broke the nuclear deal with Iran. Through a presidential order, Trump barred the citizens of many countries from entering the United States.
These ill-advised decisions have badly damaged the reputation of the U.S. Countries are starting to doubt its leadership in world affairs. Many U.S client states have jumped the sinking boat and are now wooing China and Russia.
Trump has also divided the American public in many factions, which has jeopardized the unity of the country. The attacks on the symbol of American democracy “Capitol Hill” by Trump,s supporters after his defeat in presidential elections, will have great repercussions for the country globally too.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine
The unexpected Russian assault on Ukraine is not a good omen for the west. Most of the western leadership and mainstream media had not envisaged in their wildest dreams that Russia will ever cross the threshold of Europe. Putin has sprung a great surprise and has challenged the U.S ego by infringing the sovereignty of its greatest ally,Europe.
The U.S influence has decreased to the extent that many countries outside Europe did not condemns the Russian invasion unequivocally. Even nations such as China,Turkey and Iran have stood firm with Russia on this issue. A decade ago,no one would have dared to go against the U.S,but much has changed now. A new era is about to begin where East will dominate the world.
